This eight-hour programme helps managers and business leaders understand where AI creates value in the firm, which tools and models matter, and how to implement them without losing clarity of management. It is built around practical use, not hype.

Who it’s for

Built for decision makers

This is a management programme, not a technical course. It is for people who have to decide where AI belongs, what it should touch, and what should stay human.

Audience
Managers, directors, and staff with responsibility for decisions that matter.
Prerequisites

Experience in management or organisational decision-making. No technical background in AI, statistics, or programming is needed.

The room

Up to 10 participants. Small enough for proper discussion, practical exercises, and decisions that stay real

Learning outcomes

What you’ll be able to do by the end

01Identify where AI can improve decisions, processes and resource allocation.
02Distinguish automation, decision support and strategic use of AI.
03Recognise the main AI models and what each is actually for.
04Evaluate which tools make sense in different business contexts.
05Turn AI ideas into concrete, defensible business cases.
06Apply the practical steps needed to implement AI with value and governance.

The programme

Six modules, eight hours

The time is weighted towards modules 4–6, where the work becomes more practical. Modules 1–3 are shorter and mostly expository.

01

Why AI matters for management

AI is becoming a platform for business innovation, not just another technology layer. The question is where it changes value creation, decision-making, and resource allocation.

40 min
Exposition + discussion
02

What AI can do for the firm

Efficiency, anticipation, automation, risk reading, and better decision quality. The point is business impact, not features.

50 min
Exposition + case
03

What AI can do for you

Productivity, analysis support, synthesis, writing, and decision preparation. AI here is a working partner, not a novelty.

50 min
Exposition + exercise
04

Tools and models

Large language models, RAG, machine learning, forecasting, anomaly detection and agents. What each model does, where it fits, and where it does not.

85 min
Exposition + exercise
05

Implementation in practice

How to choose a use case, assess maturity, define governance, avoid scattered pilots, and move from test to scale.

80 min
Exposition + exercise
06

Practical cases

Delegation, metrics, knowledge assistants, cash-flow forecasting, spend control, scenario simulation, and agents, worked through in groups.

90 min
Group exercise

Module 6 · Practical cases

Concepts brought back into real management settings

The programme ends with cases managers will recognise immediately. Each one is there to test whether the earlier ideas survive contact with real decisions.

Informal delegation

Work shifts to AI before anyone has made a conscious decision to delegate it.

Wrong metrics

AI is good at optimising the wrong thing, too.

Internal knowledge assistants

Company knowledge, made usable.

Cash-flow forecasting

Spotting a cash problem while there is still time to act.

Spend control

Finding the spend that actually matters.

Scenario simulation

Stress-testing a decision before it becomes irreversible.

Agents in the workflow

Where agents help, and where they should stay out.

Every case is framed as a decision, not a demo — because that is where the value sits.
