Advanced Training

Power BI Applied to Management and Finance – Level 2

Advanced data analysis with DAX and R languages

At the end of the course, the trainees will be able to analyze data from multiple sources, using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) language, with Power BI technology.

This is the ideal course for people who want to get the most of this language and quickly turn data into information to support decision making. This course is accessible to anyone who has some familiarity with Excel formulas and intends to evolve to DAX, even if not having knowledge of this language.

The trainees will have a training certificate at the end of the course

Who should attend

Managers, Entrepreneurs, Controllers, Consultants, Accountants or people who want to evolve professionally in data base analysis.

Programme Outline

Day 1

Fundamental concepts of DAX Language

  • What is DAX language and what kind of data analysis can be made?

    • Create a data model for a budget made in excel
    • How to make measures and reports that allows the budget control
    • Measures to control deviations
    • How to control deviations when dealing with different aggregation levels
  • What-if analysis: what happens if?
    • Parametric tables
    • Set parameters
    • Using DAX for sensibility analyzes
